How TikTok Shop's fees work
TikTok Shop US charges a referral fee. The base is the customer payment plus any platform discount, minus tax, so it includes the shipping the buyer pays.
Referral rates for cards
| Category | Referral fee | Over $10,000 |
|---|---|---|
| Collectibles › Trading Cards & Accessories | 6% | 3% on the part above |
| Pre-Owned › Collectible Trading Cards | 5% | 3% on the part above |
The calculator ignores platform-funded discounts, so for a discounted sale the real base is higher than what you enter.
Creator commission
If an affiliate creator sells your item you pay the commission rate you set, on top of the referral fee. At a 10% creator rate a $50 card costs more to sell here than on Whatnot's standard tier. Use the creator field under "Your rates" to find your own break-even rate. TikTok's page doesn't say what amount the creator rate applies to; we use the card price.

A third-party report (beBOLD, September 2026) says TikTok may raise referral fees to 8% for most non-food categories. It does not mention trading cards and calls the change unconfirmed, and TikTok's own table, dated 10/08/2026 when we read it, still shows 6%. We re-check the page for every issue.
